The industry has suffered through the recent economic downturn which has forced the closure of several competitors in the past couple of years. As the oldest continually operating houseboat company, we have gleaned the most experience in the industry. For example our hulls are the most rigid in the industry, and because this is the foundation for your houseboat, it is very important that this rigidity is maintained. Our hulls are deeper and have more welds and structure than our competitors. Also, all cabinetry in a Stardust vessel is completely custom, made in our own cabinet shop by experienced professional cabinet makers. We also maintain our own fiberglass shop for accessories, bridges and special projects.

Our designs emulate the style and class of Super Yachts while maintaining the functionality of a houseboat. Our designers will discuss the individual clients intended use of the vessel and together determine the floorplan and systems for the most stylish, functional and economical solution.

We have recently re-evaluated our cost structure and have determined that we can match any houseboat builder’s price, feature for feature. Stardust has been refurbishing our and other manufacturer’s boats for the past several years. These refurbishments have ranged from simple repairs to complete interior and exterior renovations.
